Bulldog Scholarship Scramble raises funds.

Golfers Casey Reilly, Bob Beers Sr. and Craig Bray.

The 24th annual Montana Western Bulldog Athletic Association Scholarship Scramble took place from Friday June 17 through Saturday June 18, 2016 at the Beaverhead Golf Course in Dillon, Mont.

The golf tournament provides an opportunity for Montana Western alumni, friends and boosters to generate scholarships for Bulldog athletic teams.

The scramble was originally referred to as the Celebrity Golf Tournament due to players and individuals associated with the NFL participating in the event.

This year’s event saw a large turnout of notable Montana Western alum, including former Montana Grizzly head football coach Mick Delaney, MSU Bobcats head football coach Jeff Choate, along with his assistants, B.J. Robertson, also a former Bulldog head football coach, and Brian Armstrong. Former Bulldog head football coach Bob Beers Sr. also participated in the tournament. Beers recently retired from the Houston Texans organization after 46 years of working in various capacities in college and professional football.

The tournament raised over $12,000 this year which will go directly toward funding scholarships for Montana Western student-athletes.
