Montana Western Volleyball goes 3-2 in opening tournament

The University of Montana Western volleyball team returned from its season opening tournament in Spokane, Wash., winning three games and dropping two. The Bulldogs swept all three matches in their victories and lost two matches by scores of 1-3.

Bulldogs wrap camp with scrimmage Friday

The University of Montana Western football players reported to campus and football pre-season practice on Aug. 2. The team hit the field Aug 4, and after nearly two weeks the 2014 two-a-day practices will come to a close on Friday when the Bulldogs take to Vigilante field for a scrimmage and a final tune-up before their season opener.

UMW hires local Big Sky all-conference performer to lead cross-country team

University of Montana Western athletic director, Ryan Nourse, has announced the hiring of Lynn Reynolds as head coach of the Bulldog cross-country teams.  The addition of cross-country to the UMW athletic department is the fifth and sixth varsity sports for Montana Western.

The University of Montana Western head men’s basketball coach, Steve Keller, has announced that Harrison, Mont., native Ryan McCarty has signed and committed to be a Bulldog.

Montana Western football to hold youth camp

The UMW football program is hosting a football camp on Aug. 8-9. The camp will be led by head Bulldog football coach B.J. Robertson and his staff. Current Montana Western players will be on hand to instruct during sessions as well.

The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced the 2013-14 Scholar Teams. Montana Western’s volleyball and women’s basketball teams have earned the distinction of being named to the team.

The University of Montana Western women’s basketball coach, Lindsay Woolley, has announced the signing of Bigfork, Mont. senior Tessa Robertson. Robertson is another talented addition to Coach Woolley’s skilled 2014 recruiting class.

The University of Montana Western’s head basketball coach, Steve Keller, has announced the addition of the state’s No. 1 scorer. The Bulldogs have added Billings senior Kooper Kidgell.

University of Montana Western women’s basketball head coach, Lindsay Woolley, has announced another addition to the program’s 2014 signing class.  Coach Woolley has announced the addition of Arlee, Mont. senior Whitney Malatare to his UMW basketball program.
