Eight Montana Western volleyball players honored

Eight members of the Bulldog Volleyball team were recognized by the Frontier Conference as members of the 2014 Academic All-Conference Team. All six seniors on the 2014 Montana Western squad were honored for their academic achievement, and they were joined by two underclassmen.

The University of Montana Western women’s basketball program squared off against Carroll College Thursday night in Helena with the intent to string together conference wins. Instead, a red-hot Carroll team stole the show and a 70-55 victory.

Montana Western football announces Montana signing class

University of Montana Western head football coach B. J. Robertson has announced the signing of 32 recruits from the state of Montana. The group includes 14 East West Shrine Game selections, and is composed of 11 players from Class AA, seven from Class A, nine Class B athletes and five representing Class C.

Bulldogs bury Diggers

In a throwback to the mid-1990s the meeting between Montana Western and Montana Tech had more at stake than bragging rights, The teams entered the contest vying for control of the Frontier Conference and the Bulldogs escaped with an 86-78 win.

Bulldogs earn first Frontier Conference win

Records rarely matter when the University of Montana Western Bulldogs and Montana Tech Orediggers meet up to contest for the Digger-Dawg Cup, but the always-anticipated matchup between the I-15 rivals carried a bit more weight tonight as the teams were each seeking to end a lengthy losing streak.  The Bulldogs came out hot and held off the Diggers down the stretch to secure the 76-71 win.
