The University of Montana Western volleyball team took to the court versus Montana State-Northern on Halloween night. The Lady Bulldogs fell to the Skylights in three straight sets.
The crowd, many of whom were dressed in costume for Halloween, tried to rally Montana Western, who came up short. Throughout the match Montana Western was able to keep the game scores within a point or two early, but then Northern would catch some momentum and stretch their lead and ended up taking three straight.

"Northern is a solid team, and we didn't do enough to slow down their two top hitters which made the difference in the match," said head coach Lisa Griffiths. "I was happy with the production we got from both of our outside hitters (Bailey Branson & Breanne Kelley). They did a nice job against Northern's big block."
Western plays their final home match versus Great Falls at home at 2 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 2.
The University of Montana Western has launched a national search for the provost and vice chancellor for academic affairs position.
