Bulldog Volleyball falls short on senior night

The University of Montana Western played their final home game of the season on Saturday afternoon versus the University of Great Falls. Playing for the final time at Straugh Gymnasium were two senior Bulldogs Charelle Minor and Bailey Branson.

On an emotional afternoon the UMW ladies tried to gain momentum throughout the match, and after dropping the opening game and taking the second, seemed to have the look heading into the third game. The Bulldogs, however, would ultimately drop the final two games and lose 1-3.

COACHES’ QUOTES

“Unforced errors were the difference in the game for us tonight,” said head coach Lisa Gridffiths. “We had opportunities to take the momentum after making big plays, but held ourselves back by giving the ball away. Emily and Brea hit well for us today and Rachelle did a nice job getting them the ball. We have to take care of our jobs every rally in order to close out close matches.”
