Montana Western men claim third win versus NCAA DII

Nampa, Idaho, Nov. 22-23, 2013 - In their opening game of the Wendy’s Classic basketball tournament the Montana Western men forced 20 turnovers to defeat Division II f Northwest Nazarene.

J-OThe Bulldogs limited their turnover total to 6. The Bulldogs led the entire game behind four Bulldog double-digit scorers.

In the second game they faced off against College of Idaho for the second time this season. The Yotes avenged their loss earlier this year to the Bulldogs, 81-76, to send UMW to 6-3 on the season. Jake Owsley was big for the Bulldogs as he recorded another double-double.

  • Kris Castro recorded his fourth Offensive Rebound that led to a 3-point basket from Kurtis Parsons, that stretched the Bulldog lead from 3 to 6.

  • Won the turnover battle 20 NNU vs. 6 UMW.
