University of Montana Western head football coach B.J. Robertson announced the signing of Ennis, Mont., senior lineman Braydon McKitrick to a Frontier Conference/NAIA letter of intent.
“We are excited to add another member of a state championship team to our 2014 recruiting class in Braydon McKitrick of the Ennis Mustangs,” Bulldog head coach B.J. Robertson said.
McKitrick is a 6 foot 5 inches, 250-pound athlete who has exhibited his athleticism while being a member of the football, basketball, track and rodeo teams while attending Ennis High School. On the gridiron Braydon received 2013 first team All-State and 3 year All-Conference accolades. His junior year he recorded 46 tackles, four sacks and six pass deflections and followed that year with 43 tackles that included three and a half sacks and seven pass deflections his senior season. McKitrick was a key member for the 2013 Ennis Mustangs who won the state eight-man football championship and has been selected as a participant in the Bob Cleverly 8-Man All-Star game. Braydon has been selected to the All-State track team twice and is a two-time All-Conference basketball player for the Mustangs.
“Braydon is the complete package you are looking for in recruiting. He comes from a local successful program, he competes in four sports (football, basketball, track and rodeo), he has a 3.7 grade point average and he brings great size and athleticism,” coach Robertson said of his newest Bulldog. “Braydon truly adds to the Bulldog Football Family because his sister Mady is also a team manager for the Bulldogs.”
Off the field Braydon has received Academic All-State 4 years and plans to study environmental studies while attending Montana Western. He is the son of Mike and Cindy McKitrick.
