By Wally Feldt The Montana Western Bulldogs host the Warner Pacific University Lady Knights Friday, Nov. 27. in a women’s non-conference college basketball game. Tip-off is 7 p.m. from the Straugh Gymnasium. The game will be broadcast in southwest Montana on KDBM radio. This will be the first meeting ever between the Lady Knights and Montana Western. Located in Portland, Ore., Warner Pacific is an NAIA Division II school and are members of the Cascade Conference and an associate member of the National Christian College Athletic Conference. The Lady Knights are 2-3 on the season. They lost to Azusa Pacific 61-68, Lewis-Clark State 58-69 and Saint Martins University 54-67. Their victories were a 66-51 win over Corban College and a 68-44 win over Pacific. Kristina Schumacher leads Warner Pacific in scoring with 13 points per game (ppg) followed by Kelsey Mattsen with 11. Mattsen leads the team in rebounding with six rebounds per game. Warner averages 61 ppg while giving up 60. The Bulldogs are 4-5 overall after last Sunday’s 65-78 loss to Minot State University. Nicole Tams continues to lead the team in scoring with 13 ppg followed by Chloe Mosey with 10 ppg. Kristen Luedtke and Laura Geis share team rebounding honors with six rebounds per game. The Bulldogs average 65 ppg but give up 70.
