The University of Montana Western Bulldogs host the Montana Tech Orediggers Thursday, Dec. 3. in a women’s non-conference college basketball game. Tipoff is 7 p.m. from the Straugh Gymnasium. The game will be broadcast in southwest Montana on KDBM radio. Both teams are members of the Frontier Conference and will meet again twice during the conference season. The Orediggers are 5-1 on the season and are coming off a big 67-64 upset win over Montana State-Billings. The game was exhibition for the Orediggers, but it was their first win over the Yellowjackets in 23 games. Jessie Depell leads Montana Tech in scoring with 19 points per game (ppg) and Dannii Devenny leads the team in rebounding with nine rebounds per game. The Orediggers are averaging 67 ppg and are giving up 66. The Bulldogs are 4-6 overall after losing to Warner Pacific and Utah State University last weekend. Nicole Tams continues to lead the team in scoring with 12 ppg followed by Chloe Mosey with 11 ppg. Kristen Luedtke leads the team in rebounding with six rebounds per game followed by Nicole Tams and Laura Geis with five each. The Bulldogs average 63 ppg but give up 70.
