Lt. Gov. John Walsh tours Main Hall Feb. 7

On Thursday, Feb. 7, Montana Lt. Gov. John Walsh was on the University of Montana Western campus to tour Montana Western’s iconic first building, Main Hall, which was renovated with over $10 million in state funding authorized by the Montana Legislature in 2007 and 2009.

Campus Community Garden

The Campus Community Garden (CCG) serves as a learning resource for UMW students and members of the community. The CCG complex now features integrated renewable energy systems, two brand new greenhouses, a native plant trail and over 20 community garden plots.

Montana Western Music Club sponsors pep band

The University of Montana Western Music Club is sponsoring a pep band.

Membership is open to the public. Sign-up forms will be on the stairs next to the campus bookstore in the Student Union Building and at the information desk at the Lucy Carson Library.

Sign-up will continue through Block 3 and rehearsals will begin Block 4.

University of Montana Western Chancellor Richard Storey has signed a policy that will make Montana Western a tobacco-free campus beginning Aug. 1, 2011.
