UMW Fine Arts presents 'Canterbury Tales'

The University of Montana Western Fine Arts Department presents Geoffrey Chaucer’s “Canterbury Tales” on April 4, 5, 6 and 8 in the Beier Auditorium on the Montana Western campus.

Canterbury Tales dress rehearsalThe production will be directed by UMW student Ryan Backus. Backus, a Dillon, Mont. native, is pursuing a secondary education, English degree with a minor in drama. “Canterbury Tales” is his second production for Montana Western.

“I plan to be a high school drama teacher, so directing these plays has been amazing experiential learning for me,” Backus said.

Performances begin at 7:30 p.m. on April 4 through 6 and a 1:15 p.m. matinee will take place on Monday, April 8. Tickets will be available at the door and are $8 for adults and $5 for children and students.
