By Wally Feldt The University of Montana Western golf team is hosting the University of Great Falls and Montana Tech in Frontier Conference golf Friday, Sept. 11, 2009 beginning at 11 a.m. at Dillon’s Beaverhead Golf Club. Bulldog head coach Mike Crosser is excited about his team’s prospects for the upcoming season. “We have a nice blend of veterans and talented newcomers,” Crosser said. “We added some depth for both teams and that should really make a difference as the season goes on.” Returners for the men’s team include: senior Jason Schumacher of Dillon, Mont.; juniors Brian Pfeifer of Deer Lodge, Mont. and Brandon Job of Havre, Mont.; and sophomore Jimmy Stoker of Soda Springs, Mont. Juniors Brenner Antone of Rupert, Idaho and Sean Green of Huntley Project, Mont. transfer from Miles Community College. Sophomore Syndee Crosser of Dillon, Mont. and junior Megan Rose of Seeley Lake, Mont. return from last year. Newcomers joining the squad include seniors Robynn Williams of Tempe, Ariz. and Ashley Jammaron of Carbondale, Colo. The Bulldog golfers will play a series of tournaments in the fall and spring in the hopes of qualifying for the NAIA national tournament.
