Brown was at the top of his game last weekend as Montana Western picked up two road victories over Northwest Nazarene University, 79-71, and The College of Idaho, 84-61. Brown scored 30 points against NNU, grabbing six rebounds, dishing out five assists and adding three steals. Brown made 10 of 17 field goals, 5 of 9 three-point shots and sank five of six free throw attempts. On Saturday against The College of Idaho Coyotes, Brown scored 18 points in only 27 minutes of action. Brown shot well once again going six of 13 from the field overall, three of seven from beyond the three-point arc, and converted three of four from the free throw line. In addition to his scoring, Brown had four rebounds and five assists. The weekend averages of 24 points, five rebounds, five assists and 1.5 steals per game were impressive enough to honor Brown for the second time this year as the top men’s player in the Frontier Conference. Brown, a 5’10” junior from Tacoma, Wash., is having an outstanding year leading the Bulldogs to a 9-3 record and a 22nd ranking in the NAIA Division I Men’s Basketball poll. Brown leads the Frontier Conference in scoring at 19.27 points per game and is also the assists leader with 5.82 per game. He is fifth in overall field goal percentage at .513, 10th in three-point percentage at .352, and 10th in free throw percentage at .696.
