Montana Western basketball hosts military appreciation and pink zone games

The upcoming University of Montana Western basketball games will honor members and veterans of the armed forces and raise money for the local mammography program.

On Thursday, Feb. 13, both the women’s and men’s teams take on MSU-Northern. The game is this year’s Military Appreciation game. Current military members and veterans will be admitted to the game for free. The game is also a “black out” game and all attendees are encouraged to wear black.

On Saturday, Feb. 15, Montana Western basketball hosts the University of Great Falls. The game is the Pink Zone Game, which honors survivors of breast cancer and raises awareness. Free admission is given to those wearing pink. In addition, there will be an assortment of $1 activities and prizes. All proceeds benefit the Southwest Montana Mammography Program at Barrett Hospital and Healthcare.

Both games are in the Straugh Gymnasium on the Montana Western campus. Women’s games start at 5:30 p.m. and men’s games tip off at 7:30 p.m.
