The Montana Western students’ work can be seen from Oct. 6 through Oct. 27, 2011 in the Montana Western Art Gallery. There will be an opening reception on Wednesday, Oct. 12 from 6 to 8 p.m. The theme for this showing of Don Watkin’s work is “contemporary classicism” and combines porcelain clay with crystaline glaze creating pottery that Watkins describes as “more delicate than stoneware.” Emma Elson’s work, titled “Grocery Store,” is a mixed media installation. The Montana Western Art Gallery is located on the first floor, south entrance of Main Hall. It is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
