Bulldog volleyball signs Malta star

Brittany Allan, a defensive specialist has signed to play Bulldog volleyball next season. By Wally Feldt Brittany Allen, a 5-foot-7-inch tall defensive specialist from Lodgepole, Mont., has signed a Frontier Conference/NAIA letter of intent to play volleyball for the University of Montana Western, head coach Katie Howells announced. Allen transfers from Montana State - Northern. She sat out the 2008 season. “I think Brittany will be a good asset to our program.” Howells said. “She is excited to have an opportunity to play volleyball while she works toward earning her degree.” Allen is a 2007 graduate of Malta High School where she earned first team all- conference honors in volleyball and all-state honors in track. “I think Montana Western will give me a better opportunity to play volleyball with a new team who has a great attitude about playing.” Allen said. “ Also I like the atmosphere on campus and the idea of the block schedule.” Allen will major in health and fitness management. She is the daughter of John and Minerva Allen.
