UMW News BureauThree final candidates for the open position of environmental science professor will spend a day on campus and give a public presentation as a part of their interview at UMW. Because of a recent position opening in the University of Montana Western environmental science department, a search committee has been looking for an individual to fill the position. The environmental science search committee is made up of UMW professors Mike Gilbert, Eric Dyreson, Linda Lyon and Rob Thomas. After reviewing over 70 applicants, the committee has narrowed the field down to three individuals. The final three candidates for the position will be on-campus for interviews Feb. 26 to March 2. While in Dillon, the candidates will give a public presentation during their day on campus. The first presentation will be given by Kathleen Griffin from the University of Montana on Feb. 26 at 4:15 p.m. in Block Hall 311. Michelle Anderson from Montana Tech will give her presentation Feb. 27 at 4:15 p.m. in Block Hall 311. The final presentation will be from Paula Ann Spaeth from Duke University in North Carolina on March 2 at 4:15 p.m. in Block Hall 311. All members of the campus community are invited to attend these public presentations.
