Shay Kidd loves teaching education courses and specifically those focused on mathematics education. Helping prepare future mathematics teachers at all levels helps to feed into his research interest of learning progression in mathematics. His goal in this research is to help future teachers better understand the misconceptions that students develop in mathematics, to source those misconceptions, and to prevent or fix the misconceptions. Apart from preparing future teachers, Shay Kidd helps in-service teachers improve their practice and his own. Improving face-to-face teaching and online teaching are part of these efforts with in-service teachers.
