To the University Community,
As a friendly reminder, please continue wearing your face coverings/masks on campus. COVID-19 spreads through respiratory droplets and masks are a barrier that help to prevent these droplets from reaching others. Individuals who have had COVID-19, are pre-symptomatic, or asymptomatic, can still spread the virus to other people.
Montana Western Face Covering Practices and Protocols:
- Face coverings are required in all indoor spaces (with some exceptions listed here), and all enclosed or partially enclosed outdoor spaces.
- Face coverings are required in all outdoor spaces where social distancing is not possible or difficult to reliably maintain.
- In outdoor settings where social distancing is possible, face coverings continue to be strongly recommended.
- These requirements apply to all UMW students and employees, and all visitors including service providers, contractors, vendors, suppliers, families, and community members.
For more information on why the CDC recommends wearing a mask, please visit Considerations for Wearing Masks.
Thank you for your continued assistance in keeping our campus and community safe.
Be Well, Bulldogs!
