The Bulldog Card is your key to student life at the University of Montana Western. It will give you access to the BARC, Dining Hall, Learning Center, Library, and much more. Just about every service on-campus will require a swipe of your Bulldog Card, so it’s important to pick one up as soon as you arrive.
Cards can be purchased at the Bulldog Life Office from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Mondays through Fridays. They require a government or state issued ID, $20, and a big smile!
You don’t need to get a new card every year, but if yours gets damaged, you’ll be required to purchase a new one. Damaged cards can be replaced at the Bulldog Life Office for $20.
Bulldog Bucks can be loaded onto your Bulldog Card and they never expire. These can be spent at the Bookstore, Dining Hall, Bulldog Life, The Cup (Montana Western’s gourmet coffee house), and at select vending machines. You can load Bulldog Bucks onto your card by visiting the Bulldog Life Office, Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Paw Prints for Success is an incentive program for our University of Montana Western students. Paw Prints are earned by engaging in campus activities (both academic and extra-curricular).
It’s easy to keep track of your Paw Prints because your Bulldog Card will be swiped at each of these events. The points will automatically be stored on your card and can be checked at any time through the Bulldog Card Center.
What can you buy with your Paw Prints? Nothing, because it’s more fun than that! At the end of every semester, students use their Paw Prints to bid at a live auction with great prizes like 50’’ TVs, Scholarships, Video-Game consoles, a free stay in the residence halls, and much more.
This makes staying engaged in student activities fun and rewarding. Every time you go to a football game, attend a workshop, or visit the tutors in the Learning Center you earn points, so before you know it, you’ll be rich in Paw Prints!

NO POINTS WILL BE GIVEN TO THOSE WHO GET CAUGHT CHEATING OR CONSPIRING. YOU WILL ONLY EARN POINTS FOR ATTENDING EITHER THE LIBRARY OR LEARNING CENTER IN THE SAME DAY (NOT BOTH OR MORE THAN 1 TIME PER DAY). YOU WILL NOT EARN POINTS IF YOU ARE WORKING DURING AN EVENT OR IN AN AREA WHERE POINTS ARE EARNED (LEARNING CENTER TUTORS OR WORK STUDY).
If we feel as though you have been attempting to stack your points or if you have to be talked to about proper use of the study areas more than once, you will be unable to attend the Paw Prints Auction for Success.

Our main doors on campus will align with normal business hours. Our residence halls will be locked at all times and will require card access for any students who reside in our residence halls. All building access outside of normal business hours will require approved authorization from supervisors and department heads.
