Electronic Information & Technology Accessibility
Everyone should have the opportunity to learn the UM Western way
The University of Montana Western is committed to ensuring digital access. We seek to improve the user experience for everyone by applying relevant accessibility standards to course materials, communications, and necessary documents across the college.
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. Not all UMW course materials and resources are yet assessed with WCAG 2.0 level AA, but we are working on it. Not assessed means that the content has not been evaluated or the evaluation results are not available.
Please let us know if you need help in obtaining accessible digital materials from the college or have feedback that would improve our accessibility work. Students who encounter inaccessible materials in their courses and need support should contact Nicole Hazelbaker, Dean of Students, at 406-683-7388 or [email protected]. Faculty members who need support in making accessible course materials should contact ITS eLearning at 406-683-7777.
