Schools represented at the science fair were Lima, Grant, Alder, Jackson, Wisdom, Wise River, Melrose, Reichle and Divide. The competition was open to students from kindergarten to eighth grade. The students’ projects ranged from hatching chickens to simulating tornadoes.
Steven Harriet (pictured left) from Lima won first place in his category for his project which focused on finding peoples’ center of gravity.
Harriet’s teacher, Mrs. Peterson, said she’s not grading her students on thier projects or thier performance at the science fair. She said, “I just wanted them to have the experience of the science fair.”
