On The Rocks Presents: Using surface processes to understand mountain range evolution by Dr. Lorrie Carnes

Lorrie Carnes earned her B.S. in Earth and Environmental Sciences from Lehigh University before completing a doctorate degree in Geological Sciences from Arizona State University in 2024. She will present a surface process analysis (erosion rates, soil production rates, channel steepness and erodibility) to explain the enigmatic morphology of the Pinaleño Mountains, which are a metamorphic core complex in southeast Arizona.   Lorrie Carnes, PhD Professor of Fluvial Geomorphology at University of Montana Western
