Lorrie Carnes earned her B.S. in Earth and Environmental Sciences from Lehigh University before completing a doctorate degree in Geological Sciences from Arizona State University in 2024. She will present a surface process analysis (erosion rates, soil production rates, channel steepness and erodibility) to explain the enigmatic morphology of the Pinaleño Mountains, which are a metamorphic core complex in southeast Arizona.
