“We honor this entire institution, but in particular, the Carnegie Foundation recognized one of you,” Schweitzer said. “They picked a professor, a friend, a teacher, a mentor who takes the attitude that ‘I will embrace change. If this is the direction we are going, I will be the best that I can be under that system.'”
The governor called Thomas an innovator and finished by presenting him with an honorary State of Montana bolo tie.
