What is XDAY at the University of Montana Western?

XDAY is a free spring preview event for prospective and incoming students and their parents to learn more about Montana Western; plus, all attendees will be automatically entered for a chance to win a $500 scholarship.

If you are considering the University of Montana Western, then you do not want to miss XDAY! 

What Happens at XDAY?

XDAY will be held on two dates in 2023: Friday, March 17^th and Friday, March 24^th. 

• Check-in opens at 9:00 a.m., and XDAY will begin at 10:00 a.m., starting with a welcome and introduction to Experience One and the block schedule. 
• Attendees will be given a tour of the campus at 10:30 a.m., followed by Academic Exploration at 11:30 a.m. 
• During Academic Exploration, visitors will have the opportunity to explore the many degrees offered by UMW and visit with professors. 
• Lunch will be provided from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., after which there will be an Experience One Forum held by professors, current students, an academic advisor, and a coach. 
• Attendees will be able to ask all kinds of questions about Experience One and life at UMW and hear from everybody on the forum. 
• At 2:00 p.m., there will be a review of the Admissions and Financial Aid process. 
• The winner of the scholarship giveaway will be announced at 2:45 p.m. 
• The event concludes after the scholarship drawing, or you can join us for a tour of the residence halls at 3:00 p.m. and meet our helpful Bulldog Life staff.

How do I register for XDAY?

XDAY is free to attend, all you need to do is register at https://apply.umwestern.edu/portal/xday-2023.

What If I’m Unable to Attend XDAY?

If you are unable to attend XDAY, you can schedule an individual campus tour led by a current Montana Western student, meet with an Admissions Representative, and request to meet with professors or student support staff from offices including Residence Life, Disability Services, or Financial Aid.
