Avalanche Awareness Night

Mark your calendar for the kick-off event to the winter backcountry season. The 14th Annual Avalanche Awareness Night will take place at the Bulldog Lounge- Student Union Center, Montana Western Campus on Wednesday, January 22nd with the program beginning at 6:30. This is your opportunity to sharpen your knowledge and understanding of safe winter backcountry travel, avalanche assessment skills, understanding of the early season snowpack, and be part of the local backcountry community. Presented by the Friends of the Avalanche Center with support from the University of Montana Western School of Outreach. Sign ups will be available for the February Avalanche Fundamentals class with field days too!
