The Honors First Year Experience is a special program for a select group of freshmen in which students take two related blocks as a cohort. In the Honors First Year Experience, students engage in the study of two disciplines over two consecutive blocks.
The subject matter in these courses is interrelated and each course will substitute for a general education requirement. The purpose of the Honors First Year Experience is to foster extended collaboration among a small group of students engaged in the study of ideas that transcend specific disciplines.
