UMW AND MCH HOST 2025 COLT CHALLENGE & SALE
The Annual Colt Challenge and Sale, hosted by the University of Montana Western and the Montana Center for Horsemanship, will take place March 28 and 29, 2025, at the Montana Center for Horsemanship in Dillon, Montana.
UMW TO HOST BRAINFEST MATHEMATICAL MODELING COMPETITION
The University of Montana Western Department of Mathematics invites all interested high school students to participate in UMW’s third annual BrainFest Mathematical Modeling Competition on Friday, February 21, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Swysgood Technology Center (STC) Great Room. Participants will have the chance to win a $500 or $250 scholarship to UMW.

The University of Montana Western Rodeo Team is excited to announce the 55th Annual Montana Western Rodeo Banquet, a much-anticipated fundraising event, taking place on Friday, March 28, 2025, in the Keltz Arena. MONTANA WESTERN SCHOLARSHIP ESTABLISHED IN MEMORY OF SARAH PELLETIER
The University of Montana Western is honored to announce the establishment of the Sarah Pelletier Special Education Scholarship, a scholarship designed to support future educators dedicated to the field of Special Education. This scholarship is a heartfelt tribute from Sarah’s family in recognition of the incredible care and dedication she received from Special Education teachers throughout her life.
UMW’S “ON THE ROCKS” SERIES TO HOST SPEAKER JENNA M. DOHMAN
The University of Montana Western Environmental Sciences Department is proud to host hydrologist Jenna M. Dohman as part of the “On the Rocks” lecture series. Dohman will present “Investigation of Elevated Temperatures in the Lower Big Hole River, MT” on Wednesday, January 22, from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. in UMW’s Lucy Carson Library.
UMW TO CELEBRATE DR. ALAN ZETLER’S 95TH BIRTHDAY AT MONTANA WESTERN VS. CARROLL COLLEGE BASKETBALL GAME
The University of Montana Western will host a special birthday celebration for Dr. Alan Zetler, a beloved educator, mentor, and loyal UMW supporter, during the Montana Western vs. Carroll College basketball games on February 8, 2025. Dr. Zetler, who is turning 95, is one of the university’s most dedicated fans and a cherished presence at UMW events.
