UMW Portal and Mobile App

The University of Montana Western is excited to share with you the new online UMW Portal. The UMW portal is accompanied by the UMW mobile app that is now available for both iOS and Android phones. The mobile app provides access to the same information found in the portal, with a streamlined interface. 

Portal Access

To access the UMW portal, please visit my.umwestern.edu and use the same login credentials as your UMW e-mail account. Once you login, you will see a homepage with several content areas and a left side navigation menu. We hope you enjoy this exciting new resource.

Mobile App

After you download the app, be sure to login with your UMW email credentials to access all of the content (the login button is located in the top right of the app screen). 

The UMW portal is one convenient place for users to access resources related to the University of Montana Western. These resources include: 

• Viewing information from Banner (DAWGS) including Account Summary, Holds, Final Grades, Pay Stub, and looking up and viewing current course information 
• UMW Announcements- important deadlines and information for students 
• Groups for Student Interests and Clubs- Don’t see a group you’d like to learn more about or want to spread the word to the campus about a club or activity? You can request a group to be created by emailing [email protected])  
• Emergency Services Contact Information 
• Student Services- a comprehensive list of provided services with contact information including Counseling, Academic Advising and Residence Life  
• Links to the Library and the UMW Directory 
• Latest News and Upcoming Events 
• UMW Social Media Channels 
• Google Maps of Locations on Campus 
• Athletics- latest news, schedules and scores
